Release Overview #
Chargent v7.70 is a maintenance release that delivers enhancements to our Paymentus gateway integration. This update also delivers bug fixes that ensure greater application stability and payment security. Users are encouraged to update promptly to benefit from these improvements and ensure a smooth payment experience.
Enhancements #
Paymentus Payment Gateway Integration – KID Field Added
Updated the Setup Wizard to include the JWT Key ID (KID) field as part of the Paymentus Payment Gateway Integration setup. This field ensures proper authentication when configuring this gateway integration in Chargent.
Updates #
Payment Method Selector Component – Removed from Package
Removed the deprecated Payment Method Selector component from the Chargent package because this functionality is now built in. Get a more intuitive experience using the Payment Console and Take Payment Component with this integrated functionality.
Account Updater Page – Layout Issues
Fixed an issue wherein the Account Updater page did not match the configured Payment Request template, and did not allow control over which fields were displayed on the payment form.
Payment Console – Recurring Payment Setup
Fixed an issue wherein creating a new recurring payment in Payment Console could result in collection of the recurring amount instead of the initial amount in the first payment of a series.
Payment Console – Charging Using Existing Token
Fixed an issue wherein collecting a payment using an existing token could fail and present an error: “|FATAL_ERROR|System.AuraHandledExeption”
Payment Console – Salesforce Mobile App – Charge Button
Fixed an issue wherein the Charge button in the mobile version of the Payment Console could be pressed more than once, resulting in multiple transaction attempts being sent to the payment gateway.
Chargent Community User Permission Set Group – Assignment Issue
Fixed an issue wherein the Chargent Community User permission set group could not be assigned to Community users.
Known Issues & Notes #
Community User Permission Sets & Groups
Chargent has removed three permissions from the ‘Chargent Community User’ Permission Set Group to maintain best practices when taking payments in your community. Customers on Chargent version 7.50 or greater may need to manually remove these permissions. We recommend all customers ensure that the following Permission Sets are removed from the ‘Chargent Community User’ Permission Set Group:
- Chargent Create Orders
- Chargent Edit Orders
- Chargent Read Gateways
Workaround
If these permissions are present in your ‘Chargent Community User’ Permission Set Group, recreate the permission set group minus the above three by following the steps listed in this knowledge base article:
