Chargent includes a few ways to simplify the troubleshooting process if you run into any issues. Specifically, you can test the creation of both Chargent order records and transaction records without the need to generate them manually. To do so, follow these steps:
- Click on the App Launcher in the top left side of Salesforce.
- Click the Chargent app.
- Click Chargent Settings.
- Click on Troubleshooting Tools from the Global Settings drop-down list.
Test Master Record Creation #
Use this option to test the creation of your Chargent order record. When you click Insert Master Object, Chargent will attempt to insert a Chargent order record, displaying the results on the page. This test can help you troubleshoot odd behavior in Chargent that prevents the creation of the Chargent order record, including required fields, validation rules, or custom automation. If no issues occur, you will see a green message noting the successful creation of the Chargent order record.
Test Transaction Record Creation #
You can test the insertion of both a Transaction record and a Chargent order record using the Insert Transaction button. The testing of the insertion is based on your setup in your Salesforce Org and will tell you if there are any Flows, required fields, or validation rules preventing the records from being saved. If no issues occur, you will see a green message noting the successful creation of the Chargent order record and transaction record.
Get Organization IP Address #
Click Get IP Address to obtain your Salesforce instance’s outbound IP address. Your outbound IP address is subject to change and is outside of Chargent’s control. Some gateways require whitelisting the IP address from which the API request originates.
