Enhancements #
Data Handling Rules & Payment Method Record Creation #
Payment Method record creation is dependent upon the Data Handling Rules (DHR) established for each payment gateway record configured. This update will ensure that payment tokens are created or cleared appropriately based on the DHR for each payment gateway record, and that field descriptions and error messages clearly explain these functions.
Chargent Settings – Layout Update #
The navigation layout in Chargent Settings has been updated to be more intuitive and user friendly. Related settings are now better organized, reducing the number of tabs displayed and the number of clicks required to access each category of settings.
Payment Request Mobile Layout #
Payment Request is now mobile-responsive, allowing for easier input by your customers when leveraging this great self-service payment tool from their mobile devices.
Context-Sensitive Help – Expanded #
We’ve added context-sensitive help to our Chargent Order and Transaction objects, allowing for quick access to detailed and informative documentation specific to each object with the single click of the ‘Chargent Help’ action at the top of each record, list view, and related list. Cybersource Payment Gateway – Level 2 Tax Field Added #
Our Cybersource payment gateway integration now includes the Tax (taxAmount) field as part of the transaction payload in order to better facilitate Level 2 transactions.
Payment Methods – Tokenization Endpoints w/ AccountId & ContactId #
All tokenization end-points that create Payment Method records will now accept AccountId and ContactId as parameters.
Updates #
Paya Payment Gateway – Invalid Email Address Error #
Fixed an issue wherein transactions without a value populated in the Billing Email Address field resulted in the following error: “400000 – InvalidRequestData : request.Retail.Customer: The Email field is not a valid e-mail address.”
USAePay Payment Gateway – Error when Voiding a Refund #
Fixed an issue wherein voiding a refund transaction could result in the following error: “Required pserv data missing.”
Stripe Payment Gateway – Declined ACH Transactions #
Fixed an issue wherein ACH transactions failed when using the Stripe payment gateway integration.
Stripe Payment Gateway – Voided Refunds w/ Mismatched Amounts #
Fixed an issue wherein voided refund transactions did not reflect the accurate amount when using the Stripe payment gateway integration.
Payment Methods – Failed Record Creation #
Fixed an issue wherein Payment Method records were not created due to an address validation rule.
Payment Console – Diner’s Club Payments #
Fixed an issue wherein the Register Token and Charge buttons were not accessible when collecting a payment using a Diner’s Club card in the Chargent Anywhere Payment Console.
Deprecated Payment Method Component for Chargent Order Object #
Removed the ability to add the Chargent Payment Methods component to the Chargent Order object page layout. To enable Payment Methods functionality on the Chargent Order object, admins are encouraged to add the Chargent Anywhere component instead.
Known Issues #
Chargent Feature Activation Tab – Payment Console #
For new installations, the Chargent Feature Activation tab in Chargent Settings may not open. This tab is used to request the activation of the Payment Console feature.

To activate the Payment Console feature, please contact Chargent Support:

Chargent Anywhere Payment Console – Authorizations #
The Chargent Anywhere Payment Console may not load after performing an authorization. Upon clicking the Payment Console button, the modal will not load.
Workaround
To access the Payment Console feature, navigate to the previously created authorization Transaction record and click the Charge or Void action button. Once complete, the Chargent Anywhere Payment Console should load. Note that you may need to refresh the browser window.
