Release Overview #
Chargent version 7.90 is a maintenance release that updates our Braintree gateway integration to add server-side ACH authorization support for our API. Additionally, this release resolves bugs related to our Braintree, Cybersource, and Paya gateway integrations. See the details below for more information.
Enhancements #
Braintree Gateway Integration – API Support for Server-Side ACH Authorization
Braintree GraphQL now supports server-side ACH Tokenization. In previous versions, Chargent used hosted fields in our Braintree gateway integration; in this case, the API and Charge buttons would not work until a token was obtained. With this update, we’ve moved ACH tokenization from hosted fields to server-side, resulting in faster, more reliable processing with improved error handling and logging. This shift also enhances security and compliance by keeping sensitive data out of the browser entirely.
Additionally, in-app links to Braintree’s signup pages were updated.
Bug Fixes #
Braintree Gateway Integration – Fixed an Error That Caused ACH Transactions to Fail
Fixed a bug introduced in version 7.80, wherein an ACH transaction may fail, resulting in the error: Authentication credentials are invalid. Reason code: 200, Reason Text: Error.
Cybersource Gateway Integration – Fixed an Issue That Prevented Transactions from Certain Billing States
Corrected an issue that prevented transactions from processing when the Billing State field was set to a state whose abbreviation is not the first two characters of the state’s name (For example, Kentucky abbreviates to KY).
Paya Gateway Integration – Fixed an Error That Occurred When Updating a Token
Resolved an issue where, when updating a token, the following error would occur: Error Code 100006, There is no resource at the path specified.
